Color Steel Plate & Purlin Replacement of Coal-Handling Conveyor Galleries and Counterweight Rooms, Power Plant
Power plant coal-handling system galleries & counterweight rooms | Color steel plate & purlin overall replacement
This project is located in the coal-handling system area of a power plant, systematically treating hazards such as rust, leakage and aged/failed purlins in the gallery and counterweight-room color-steel roofing and enclosure. The scope covers overall removal and reinstallation of gallery-top color-steel plates, counterweight-room enclosure replacement, rusted-purlin reinforcement or replacement, and waterproof reinforcement of roof nodes. High-altitude gallery work and crane-coordinated lifting set high requirements for construction organization, safety protection and schedule coordination; the whole work accommodated the generator set's no-production-stop condition, ensuring dual control of safety and quality.
Safety Measures
- Lifting control: crane work with special approval, warning zone, dedicated signaling, no one in lifting radius.
- High-altitude protection: gallery workers all wear dual-hook harnesses and retractable fall arresters, helmets and anti-slip shoes.
- No-production-stop coordination: close coordination with plant operations, avoid peak coal-handling hours.
- Hot-work control: cutting/welding away from combustibles, hot-work permits, fire equipment.
- Anti-fall measures: life lines and safety nets at gallery edges, materials fixed securely.
- Emergency plan: emergency team led by project manager, high-altitude rescue and anti-electric-shock equipment.
Construction Flow
- Site survey — measure gallery & counterweight-room roof damage range, purlin rust level.
- Preparation — crane in position, platforms erected, materials sorted.
- Old plate removal — remove old color-steel in sections, sort and clear promptly.
- Purlin replacement — remove/replace rusted purlins, align and fix new ones.
- New plate installation — lift and fix color-steel, standard longitudinal/transverse laps.
- Detailing — ridge, eaves, node sealing, waterproof finishing.
- Water-spray acceptance — overall water-spray test, no leakage, quality acceptance & handover.
- Site cleanup — remove platforms, clear waste, clean site.
